Meteorite Hunting in Mauritania : Richat Structure, Chinguetti Meteorite, and Impact Craters

The Richat Structure: An impact crater or the site of Atlantis? The Chinguetti Meteorite: A tall tale, or is it still out there? I use freely available high-resolution topographic and geophysical data to search for meteorite impact craters in Mauritania. I look at the Richat Structure, Aouelloul and Tenoumer Craters, and compare them to Meteor Crater (Arizona) and Wolfe Creek (Australia). Is there an unknown impact crater in the Gibson Desert, revealed by magnetic field anomalies? Is the mystery of the Chinguetti Meteorite (Gaston Ripart Meteorite) resolved?
