Since the training is private, we visitors don't know what kind of training it is. Now, during breakfast that day, the keepers were smearing yogurt high up on the glass window. The gorillas jumped up, grabbed the yogurt, and enjoyed eating it. Recently, Shabani often relaxed in the sub-room or outside after breakfast, but this morning he was engaging in display behaviors with Kiyomasa. The females, Ai and Annie, usually follow Shabani around, but on this day, Annie hardly followed him at all. Annie was her usual energetic self, but it felt like there was a slight distance between her and Shabani. and while Shabani once saw Annie as someone he needed to protect when she was young, he likely feels that mature adult Annie no longer requires such care. Shabani's mind is completely occupied with the female Ai. Even after Annie moved away, Shabani probably feels something's off, but I don't think he gets depressed when she's gone.
