Fly Fishing below the Bonsai Tree with Davie McPhail
Another day spent on the River Doon. The fishing was far from easy, with the river slightly up and bright conditions making the trout difficult to tempt. There wasn't a great deal showing on the surface, and chances were few and far between, but it was wonderful to be back out on the river enjoying the fresh air. When opportunities did come along, the dry fly was by far the most successful approach. Some days it's not about the numbers—just being out on the water is reward enough. I hope you enjoy the video. All the very best, Davie.
