Following the BMW 5 Series, I'm starting a DIY air conditioner filter project for the Mercedes-Benz E-Class. For the Mercedes, one filter is replaced for both the internal and external air filters. For the BMW, only the internal filters are replaced as a set of two. There's an unexplained odor coming from the air conditioner, like the smell of crayon odor. I hope cleaning the evaporator (heat exchanger) and replacing the air conditioner filter will alleviate it. 1.
