Der wohl schwierigste Fernwanderweg Europas // GR20 - Korsika // Teil 1
The 180-kilometer path connects the two towns of Calenzana and Conca across the Corsican high mountains in a north-south direction. The path created by Michel Fabrikant was opened in 1972, the number 20 refers to Corsica's department number at the time. It is considered to be a very demanding hiking trail, since it runs for long stretches through high mountainous terrain higher than 1500 m, far away from populated areas. There are also some climbing sections to overcome.
