Leaving Broome behind, we venture up the Dampier Peninsula for a few unforgettable nights of camping on the coast. At James Price Point we set up surrounded by the red cliffs, watching the whales cruise past just offshore, splashing and playing. From there, we head further north to NEEM Camp at Middle Lagoon, where the water meets the bush. On the way back south, we discover the magic of Barred Creek, a stunning white sand beach, another perfect free camp. From red cliffs and whale watching to hidden lagoons and pristine beaches, this is why the Dampier Peninsula is one of WA’s most remarkable stretches of coastline. We acknowledge the traditional custodians and owners of the land where we travel, and pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. We recognise their deep connection to Country and role in caring for it over thousands of years.
