Wild Camping, a Tagine on the Trangia, and an Unexpected Snow Storm

Joined by my dad ‪@overthehillwildcamper‬, we headed out for our first wild camp of the year. After parking the car at the Carey Burn in the Harthope Valley, we made the short ascent up to Cold Law. Once there we dropped to a flat shelf slightly below the Trig point, where I pitched my new SilPoly Trailstar by Mountain Laurel Designs for the first time. My Dad was in his trustee X-Mid 2p by Durston Gear. I then cooked the North African classic Lamb Tagine with couscous on the Trangia 25. Despite clear skies being forecast we had to dive back in our shelters due to heavy snow. A great start to the year, I hope you enjoy and all the best for the new year👍
