Ecopol + Bisanar. Autumn treatment of bees against Varroa mites. Prevention and treatment of bee colonies against Varroa mites is now an essential part of any apiary's work. At our apiary, we use only organic products to combat the virtually invisible parasite and bee killer, the Varroa mite. Year after year, in spring and fall, we conduct comprehensive treatments using essential oils and organic acids to destroy and control the population of this parasite in bee colonies. For three weeks in a row, strips of essential oils (Ecopol) were used to kill the mite in all bee colonies. Today, without interrupting the treatment process, we will switch to another product, Bisanar, which is based on oxalic acid. Undoubtedly, this dual treatment with "soft" organic preparations is more labor-intensive and time-consuming for the beekeeper, but I am deeply convinced that this approach best guarantees the health of not only each individual bee colony, but the apiary as a whole.
