In the very dense forest, my friend and I were walking when we saw a lost hiker. He looked nervous because it was getting dark fast. First, we told the hiker to stay where he is and not to leave. Second, we decided to leave to call the parker Ranger and explain the situation. Me: We need to find a map and identify the trail and landmark. We need a flashlight, batteries, a whistle, and a first aid kit. My friend: I agree, we need to return to the hiker and provide him with the supplies. Let’s follow the train and listen out for the hiker. Me: Yes, let’s find the hiker, assess his condition, and offer medical assistance if needed. My friend: Okay, if the hiker is hurt or can’t walk, we will have to wait for the rescue team to evacuate him. Me: Yes, if he is hurt, we need to reassure him to stay positive until help arrives. My friend: I agree, our focus should be on the hiker’s safety. We need to stay with him until the emergency team arrives.
