Realistic LAB-400: Vintage Turntable Restoration
This video shows the restoration of the Realistic LAB-400, a classic among vintage turntables. In addition to restoring it to full functionality, I improve the appearance with real, cherry wood veneer and a new, clear dustcover. Of course, I demonstrate its functionality and sound with a tube amp, a DG-SE1, I recently built on a Magnavox AMP-196 chassis. Music by Tchaikovsky, U2, and Fleetwood Mac is featured.
