English Folk Song - Song of the Staffordshire Men
The Song of the Staffordshire Men is a modern English folk song popularised by the musician Jon Raven in the 1970s. It celebrates the rich history of Staffordshire, particularly its importance to the Industrial Revolution. This is one of a number of modern folk songs. While not strictly 'folk', these songs celebrate England's rich folk-musical history through recreation and composition. The folk songs of the English have been overlooked compared to those of the other British peoples, something that this channel hopes to fix.
