The difference between catching black mambas in cluttered dark spaces and catching black mambas in totally exposed spaces is that mambas that have cover will hide because being exposed leaves them vulnerable. Exposed mambas are most likely to become offensively defensive should one try to apprehend them! Dealing with black mambas that are precariously perched higher than your head level while you find yourself on a wet tiled floor in a shower cubicle, requires extreme calm, experience and respect for the snake.
