Are Avatars Hurting Fire Emblem's Romance? || 🏳️‍🌈 SRPG Sapphics 🏳️‍🌈

Avatars and dating are two big (and controversial) parts of modern Fire Emblem. With them, we get a whole lot of queer content. But does the queer avatar content take away from good gay representation? Here I discuss how (in my opinion) the way Avatar Romance is hurting not only queer representation, but also the overall characterization of the casts of Fire Emblem, in particular the cast of Fire Emblem Engage. In SRPG Sapphics, I take a look at Fire Emblem's long history of queer characters(and queer bait) from a character and story perspective.
