KLIVER-multivehicle one-man firing unit (Боевой модуль Кливер)
KLIVER - Multi-Hicle One-Man Firing Unit Purpose The Kliver single-man firing unit is designed for a wide range of light combat vehicles, such as infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs), armored personnel carriers (APCs), and small warships. It can also be used as a stationary unit. Composition The Kliver weapon system includes a 30mm 2A72 automatic cannon, which is installed on the BMP-3, a new-generation Kornet ATGM with a laser-beam guidance system (1000-1200mm of armor penetration behind dynamic protection, a firing range of up to 5,500m, and high immunity to all types of active and passive optical interference), a 7.62mm machine gun, and an automated fire control system (AFCS). The armament complement includes four missiles for the ATGM launcher, 300 rounds for the 30mm automatic cannon, and 200 rounds for the 7.62mm machine gun. The armament and automated 24-hour fire control system enable effective firing of all types of weapons from a stationary position, on the move, and afloat against land and surface targets. It also detects and recognizes targets day and night, aims and measures ranges, calculates firing settings, traverses weapons toward the target, fires at air targets, and monitors the fire control system. Design Features The single-seat "Kliver" combat module consists of a turret with a mount for four Kornet anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs), a 30mm cannon, a machine gun, and an operator station. Its low position within the vehicle hull provides improved protection from enemy fire. The third-generation ATGM mount is mounted on a common axis with the cannon and machine gun pod. Two missile variants are available: the first is designed to engage modern tanks with dynamic or combined armor, while the second is designed to engage field fortifications, bunkers, and lightly armored vehicles. The missiles, which come with a 10-year warranty, are equipped with a laser guidance system that automatically maintains their aiming line after launch. During the warranty period, the missile remains operational without additional maintenance. After firing, the pod can be replaced within seconds. The "Kliver," as a fully operational missile, can be installed in place of the turret on an infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) or any other chassis or boat at the customer's repair facilities with virtually no modifications to the base.
