The last opencast coal site in the UK
Featured in the September 2023 issue of EARTHMOVERS MAGAZINE: Paul Argent reports from Ffos-y-Fran, the last surface coal site in the UK, which has recently ceased production. During our visit, we saw Komatsu D39PX dozers and a Hitachi 130-7 shaping a new motocross track at the site, based near Merthyr Tydfil in Wales. This project is being undertaken by ASTrax and JB Tracks. Order this issue: https://bit.ly/44kLqYh
