BURSITE DO QUADRIL: Infiltração funciona?

Trochanteric bursitis is the most common hip bursitis. It is a very common injury in athletes, especially women between 35 and 60 years of age. The sport most associated with this injury is, by far, road running. According to some authors, a female runner's chance of developing it is 4 to 9 times greater than that of a male runner with the same training volume and intensity. Trochanteric bursitis of the hip is an inflammatory reaction of the trochanteric bursa that most commonly affects women between 35 and 60 years of age. Symptoms occur when the fascia lata compresses it against the greater trochanter. This usually occurs when the thigh is flexed, either while walking or running. Initially, it hurts only during sports, but it can progress, becoming painful at rest and radiating to the middle third of the thigh. The vast majority of people benefit from physical therapy after being diagnosed with Trochanteric Bursitis of the Hip. Strength improvement, hip rotator flexibility, motor coordination training, and overall posture retraining can alleviate symptoms and prevent recurrence. In some cases, where pain persists during exercise, a depot cortisone injection directly into the bursa is a valuable tool for symptom relief. Surgery for the treatment of trochanteric bursitis is extremely rare. When indicated, the bursa, or any bulging or bony spurs that may have caused the condition, are removed. After symptoms improve and a gradual return to sports, it is essential that sports practice be monitored by a trainer, as improper training technique is by far the most common cause of abnormal bursal friction and the development of symptoms.
