Automotive Suspension Setup and Tuning 101
This time in the AutoEdits Garage, I'll run through the basics of suspension setups and get into some of the How To tune your components for better performance... using the 1973 Ford Mustang and the Jeep as examples. Here are the alignment specifications I had the technician set on the Mustang and made for a nice driving "Grand Touring" style sports car: -.5 degrees Camber (negative) +4.0 to +4.5 degrees Caster (positive) 1/16" Toe In (alignment) As I explain in the video, I would run much more aggressive numbers for caster and camber in the past but good quality parts in the right spots allow for more gentle(normal) settings to yield a much greater handling vehicle. Plus, I'll run down some of the parts in the engine bay and driver's office that have stood out as HERO upgrades on this build... the BeCool Radiator Cooling Module, the Wilwood Brakes and Pedal Assembly and the Dakota Digital VHX Instrument Panel! Thanks so much for watching and please give this video a like for me! #performance #suspension #howto
