August 20, 2023 marks the 35th Anniversary of District 35 Toastmaster, Jerry Starke, of Milwaukee, WI winning the 1988 World Championship of Public Speaking. In honor of this accomplishment, we share this recording of Jerry's winning speech. Jerry was an outstanding & accomplished Toastmaster from 1971 - 2022, Serving as a Distinguished District Governor in 1982-1983, and an International Director in 1985-1987. He received an Presidential Citation in 1984 and was a recipient of the District 35 "T" award in 1990. Please enjoy hearing this speech from this World Champion that called District 35 home.
