BULLETPROOF VW ENGINE BUILD! 2007cc STROKER TYPE 1 AIR-COOLED FLAT 4 ENGINE BUILD (PART 1)

In Part 1 of this Bulletproof VW Engine Build series, I start assembling a 2007cc Type 1 air-cooled flat 4 stroker engine built for strength, reliability, and performance. This engine features an Auto Linea aluminum engine case with shuffle-pinned mains to help prevent case movement under high loads. The rotating assembly includes a chromoly crankshaft, 4340 chromoly connecting rods, and 90.5mm pistons and cylinders. The engine is topped with performance cylinder heads featuring 40mm intake valves and 35.5mm exhaust valves, along with a healthy performance camshaft to bring the combination together. The goal of this build is to create what many VW enthusiasts call a "bulletproof" street and performance engine that can handle serious use while maintaining durability.
