How to Mirror Weights in Blender

There are two ways you can mirror vertex weights in blender and I show you how to do it using both methods. Using the Mirror Modifier is great for when you're weight painting and need a quick and simple mirror on a private project or untextured character. Manually mirroring weights is good for when your mesh already has shape keys, since you can't apply modifiers when there are shape keys and any drivers you have on a mirrored character aren't going to work properly. Keep in mind, I do NOT recommend mirroring weights on a model that already has a texture on it, because that will RUIN your UVs, and doing a little extra weighting is far easier than needing to fix your UVs. Thank you to @Baran_Korkmaz for bringing this to my attention. I hope this was helpful and let me know if there's something you'd like me to make a video on. God bless!
