The "Yanshui Beehive Fireworks" held in Yanshui District, Tainan City, Taiwan, is said to be one of the most dangerous festivals in the world and is a traditional Taiwanese event. This festival takes place around the Lantern Festival at the Yanshui Wumiao Temple in Yanshui District, Tainan City, and has a history of about 180 years. Over two days, more than 2 million rocket fireworks (beehive fireworks) are launched throughout the streets, with the sound of firecrackers echoing from morning until late at night. Participants wear helmets and protective clothing, praying for health and safety while being showered with beehive fireworks launched alongside the procession of portable shrines. It is a very rare festival where people do not run away from the fireworks but instead go to be covered by them. It is a representative traditional culture of the Lantern Festival in Tainan and is very famous in Taiwan as the "Yanshui Beehive Fireworks." The portable shrine of Yanshui Wumiao Temple tours the streets of Yanshui, and at every stop, a large number of rocket fireworks are launched from the beehive firework platforms.
