Nubian committee plea : The community won a legal battle against Kenya Railways Corporation

The minority Nubian Community in Kisumu is appealing to the government to hasten the processing and subsequent issuance of title deeds, a move they say will end their years of suffering brought about by the contentious land pitting them against the Kenya Railways Corporation. Their appeal follows a ruling by the Appellate Court in Kisumu, which confirmed the community as the licensed occupants of the vast, contentious land to which the Kenya Railways Corporation is equally laying claim.
