Biomarker Enhanced Clinical Assessment of Sepsis and AKI
Combining markers that help delineate sepsis and early AKI may prove a low-risk diagnostic test that decreases multisystem organ failure among the septic population. The role and clinical relevance of biomarkers, PCT for sepsis and [TIMP-2*IGFBP-7] for early AKI in this diagnostic and clinical scenario are discussed. This session was organized by bioMérieux (http://www.biomerieux.com) and presented during the Society of Critical Care Medicine’s (SCCM) 2023 Critical Care Congress.
