In this inaugural edition, the awards recognized five teachers from among 25 finalists, whom the Infanta praised for having a profession "of a value and relevance that goes beyond the strategic and touches the very essence of life." Dressed in a white pantsuit—a color that conveys honesty, simplicity, and renewal—Princess Leonor's sister emphasized the importance of education and the work of good teachers.
