Making Parliament More Accessible | House of Representatives | 29 June 2026

Every Australian deserves to have their voice heard. In Parliament, I spoke about the important role the House of Representatives Petitions Committee plays in connecting Australians with their Parliament and why it's time to modernise the petitions process. Petitions remain one of the oldest and most direct ways Australians can raise issues with the Federal Parliament. With more people engaging than ever before, we have an opportunity to make the system more accessible, more efficient and easier to navigate. As Chair of the House Standing Committee on Petitions, I'm committed to ensuring our parliamentary processes remain transparent, accessible and fit for the future. Democracy works best when people can participate, have their voices heard and trust that their concerns are reaching the right decision-makers.
