United Methodist Health Workers Treat Ebola

The virus is spread by person to person contact and up to 90 percent of those exposed will die. United Methodist Manjama Clinic and Mercy Hospital in Bo, Sierra Leone trained healthcare workers to treat potential Ebola patients without contracting the virus themselves. Unfortunately, that training is being tested as the first cases of Ebola are coming into Manjama Clinic. (Editor's note: Since this video was produced, Mbalu Fonnie the head nurse at Kerema Hospital contracted Ebola and died. Nurse Veronica Koroma also contracted Ebola but survived.)
