Southerner train pior to departure from old Christchurch (New Zealand) Railway Station on 24 December 1990 (Christmas Eve). Extensive footage south of Oamaru to Merton, Seacliff, Waitati (where the northbound Southerner train to Christchurch crosses), Port Chalmers and Dunedin before arrival at Mosgiel. Shows old long gone infrastructure such as old telegraph poles with lineside wres. Recorded in stereo sound using old late 1980's VHS video technology.
