Turns out gravel racing is completely unhinged (Gralloch)

Entering my first ever gravel race — which just happened to be the UCI World Championship qualifier for the UK. 110km, 1,729m of climbing, mechanicals everywhere, and somehow one of the best days I've had on a bike. Top 25% of finishers go to the World Championships. I had no business being here. Massive thanks to Redbull for inviting me and to the Gralloch for putting on honestly one of the most well organised cycling events I've ever been to. —————— 📍 Location: Gatehouse of Fleet, Dumfries & Galloway, Scotland 🏁 Race: The Gralloch — UCI Gravel World Series https://thegralloch.cc/ —————— 📲 Follow along: Instagram —   / grantritchie   Strava —   / strava   I also run a creative studio — https://www.studioyoke.co.uk/ —————— 0:00 - trailer 0:30 - intro/travel 2:52 - recce ride 6:48 - explaining the event 9:35 - race day 19:51 - equipment check 22:15 - race result & lessons —————— Supported by: Clothing: Universal Colours (GRANT15 for 15% off) Bikes and equipment: Sigma Sports, Wilier Trestina Shoes: Lake Helmets: Poc Ventral, Met Manta, Met Trenta Turbo trainer: Wahoo KICKR Indoor Training: MyWhoosh Nutrition: Styrkr (GRANTRITCHIE20 for 20% off) Insurance: Sundays Insurance (GRANT15 for 15% off) —————— 🎵 Copyrighted music licensed from Lickd. https://lickd.co Right Here, Right Now by Fatboy Slim, https://t.lickd.co/l/l5BLa40bGbv
