Adult Protective Services – ensuring those aging in IL are safe physically & financially!
Representatives from IDoA’s Adult Protective Services Program provided an overview of APS which is the Department’ on Aging's program designed to assure the health, welfare, and safety of individuals over the age of 60 and 18-59 with a disability. APS investigates abuse, neglect, and financial exploitation. When abuse, neglect, or exploitation is suspected, APS provides case work and follow up services. Representatives defined abuse, provided an overview of services, and informed participates on how to report.
