ZOMBIE OUTBREAK: I Stuck in a Tree House Wile there is a Zombie apocalypse I don't remember exactly when I stopped counting the days. Maybe it was around day forty-seven. Maybe it was earlier. The small notebook I've been using to track time has water damage on several pages now, the ink bleeding into blue-black shadows that make the numbers hard to read. Doesn't matter much anyway. Time feels different up here. The treehouse wasn't supposed to be anything special. Just something my neighbor built for his kids three summers ago, before they moved to Portland or Seattle or one of those places that doesn't exist anymore. Solid construction though. Real two-by-fours, proper joinery, a slanted roof with actual shingles. Not one of those rickety platform things that collapse when too many kids pile on.
