Argo XTV Extractions out at Knik Public Use Area, August 2024

In this video we extracted a Jeep Cherokee and a Polaris side by side from deep water holes after they had become stuck. The couple in the side by side had become stuck in a deep hole in a water crossing and hydro locked their rig sometime during the night. They walked out and in the morning they found someone who was going to help them get their side by side out. On the way, the Jeep driver picked a bad line and swamped his vehicle. While trying to self extract his winch broke and the Jeep became hydro locked. By the time we came along the Jeep was full of water and water had infiltrated the gas tank. Also, I understand there are a couple segments with some glitchy flashes. This has to do with the frame rate the segment was recorded in and the graphics compression and acceleration. I know there is a fix, but I don't want to have to spend time and money on a few seconds here and there. Whenever out off roading, always remember; take water crossings slow, under the surface is unpredictable. If you get stuck or are helping someone else get stuck, slow down take your time and do it safely. The proper tools for the proper job.
