After hours-long queues at gas stations across Russia, fights are increasingly breaking out, sometimes involving the use of riot gear. Dozens of videos of such incidents have surfaced—the Telegram channel "MO" compiled a video of several typical episodes. Fighters are pulling people out of their cars. In Izhevsk, a driver dragged his opponent out of his car right at a gas station and began beating him. In other regions, conflicts are no longer limited to car owners: in Chuvashia, a motorcyclist was attacked after attempting to get to a free pump, bypassing a long line. In Kaliningrad and Chuvashia, entire groups are now involved in fights. Three women got into a fight at a Teboil gas station in Kaliningrad. Local residents claim in the comments that such conflicts occur almost daily and are triggered by attempts to cut in line. In Cheboksary, a man first insulted a woman, then hit her car, attempted to attack her, and snatched her phone when she began filming the incident. Only a gas station employee was able to calm the aggressive driver. Sverdlovsk Region: Blood on the pavement. In Serov, a man refused to let women near a gasoline pump selling AI-92, which led to an altercation. A published video shows the conflict escalating into a fight: one of the women is punched in the face, causing blood to spurt from her nose. The assailant later claimed he was drunk and was trying to "start a line." A pensioner was injured in a skirmish in Tatarstan. At a gas station near the border with Bashkortostan, two drivers argued over who would be in line for the gas pump. The verbal altercation quickly escalated into a brawl, when the wife of one of the men and a friend of the other intervened. The pensioner, who tried to break up the fight, was injured. Fists aren't the only weapons used anymore. In Zelenogorsk, near St. Petersburg, a driver sprayed pepper spray in the face of his opponent while they were waiting in line at a pump. The victim suffered a chemical burn to his eyes, and police opened a criminal case for hooliganism. Police are almost nowhere to be seen. Some regions have begun to look for alternative ways to control the situation. The fuel crisis in Russia has worsened. Long lines at gas stations and gasoline shortages are becoming noticeable across the country, from Crimea to Siberia and the Far East. According to sources, the situation is linked to attacks on oil refining infrastructure, which have disabled approximately 25-33% of refining capacity, reports The New York Times. The shortage is particularly acute in the Moscow region, where operations at major oil refineries, including the Moscow Oil Refinery and a refinery in Tatarstan, have reportedly been suspended. This has led to a reduction in supplies and increased pressure on the remaining fueling networks, including those operated by major state-owned companies. Hour-long queues are being reported at gas stations, with some regions introducing coupons and high-alert regimes. In the Irkutsk region and the Far East, service disruptions are being reported, and in some places, additional sanitary and service zones for drivers are even being established. Independent gas stations are closing en masse. It's estimated that up to 20% of taxi fleets in some cities are idle due to fuel shortages, while gasoline prices are rising. Authorities are discussing possible fuel imports and the temporary use of lower-quality gasoline grades, but officially state that the disruptions are localized. Putin acknowledged the existence of a "certain shortage" and held an emergency meeting. Experts note that the fuel crisis is becoming a test of domestic resilience and demonstrates how military action impacts citizens' daily lives.
