Cape Lookout, NC Camping

We decided it was time for a break so we backpacked in and camped overnight on Cape Lookout, NC. We have camped on Shackleford Banks and wanted to see how Cape Lookout was. They were two completely different experiences. When we camped on Shackleford the tide was a king tide and the moon was a blood moon. There were no facilities and the wind was blowing at nearly 30mph. It was definitely an adventure. This trip on Cape Lookout the weather was much more calm and it was a very peaceful experience.
