CAOA CHANGAN UNI-T BRASILEIRO de R$ 169.990 é MELHOR e MAIS COMPLETO que o CHINÊS; TESTE COMPLETO

After being announced at the São Paulo Auto Show last October, Caoa Changan officially debuts in Brazil for R$ 169,990. The alliance between the Brazilian group and the Chinese manufacturer begins its journey in our market with the launch of the Uni-T mid-size SUV, which will be assembled at the Anápolis (GO) factory. Autoesporte has already taken the model to our test track. With a length of 4.54 meters and a wheelbase of 2.71 meters, the Uni-T is a mid-size SUV that arrives to compete not only with rivals in size, such as the Toyota Corolla Cross, Jeep Compass, and Caoa Chery Tiggo 7 (we will discuss Caoa's brands later). With an aggressive pricing strategy, it will also compete with smaller models, such as the Hyundai Creta, Volkswagen T-Cross, Chevrolet Tracker, and Nissan Kicks, all compacts. Unlike several other Chinese rivals, the Uni-T initially arrives without any type of electrification, like the GAC GS3, another model with a similar proposition. The big difference is that the Caoa Changan's 1.5 turbo engine is already prepared to run on either gasoline or ethanol. In other words, it's flex-fuel. It has 180 hp of power and 29.2 kgfm of torque — numbers that make it the most powerful in this price range, considering compact SUVs and entry-level versions of mid-size models (the top-of-the-line Jeep Compass has 272 hp, but its price exceeds R$ 240,000). Returning to the Uni-T, the transmission is a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic, and the drive is front-wheel.
