Introduction to Orthodoxy: 1st Constantinople

In 381 AD, the Second Ecumenical Council met in Constantinople to finish what Nicaea had started. In this video I cover the historical context after Nicaea, the continued threat of Arianism, the role of the Cappadocian Fathers, the completion of the Nicene-Constantinopolitan Creed, the affirmation of the Holy Spirit’s full divinity, and the 7 canons of the council. This council was the decisive victory that secured the orthodox doctrine of the Trinity.
