Redmond's Progress Report 061826

Redmond and I are working on his Rally Advanced moves.  We are tightening up the heel, meaning I want him to snug into me, and stay nice and tight to my left leg at my pant seam.  1) Started this session with the heel/stand.  I want him to do a correct heel, meaning when we come to a stop, he is to sit.  But if the sign says to stand, then I need to pop him back up.  So we have been working on the heel, then back up to a stand.  We have made progress but I would like him to have more confidence when I ask.  I need to be more clear with my hand signs. And I want to see him stand closer to my pant leg so I dont have to lean so far forward. I will need to ask for it a little earlier. 2)  Real happy with his down/stay.  He is pretty solid on this Rally Sign. Nails it 90% of the time. 3) Third we have been working on our left and right pivots for a month now.  I want him to side step as I pivot.  He has gotten a couple side steps in, he is close.  I have been luring him into place in a loop.  We will eventually drop the loop when he figures out he can save a step and hop over.  Happy here with his progress.  He is nailing it 30% of the time.
