With five wins in five appearances in South Aveyron, Jordan Berfa from Tarn (Hyundai I20) was announced as the favorite for the 8th Rally of the Pays Saint-Affricain, an event counting towards the French Rally Cup with coefficient 2 and organized jointly by Yannick Jammes' ASA Sud-Aveyron and Cyril Marc's Saint-Affrique Racing Team. Winner of the day's first special stage, then the second, Berfa immediately confirmed his status as the driver to beat and returned to the service area halfway through the race with a lead of more than 20 seconds over Réunion driver Loic Grondin, also in a Hyundai I20. Third place at midday was occupied by Romain Di Fante (Peugeot 208) and fourth by the Ruthéno-Sébazac duo, Philippe Jean and Laurence Pélamourgues (Porsche 991 GT3). Once the vehicles had been serviced and the crews had been fed, Jordan Berfa resumed his forward march towards a sixth victory by winning both afternoon time trials.
