The Sound of Lydian Augmented [3rd mode of Melodic Minor][Music Theory - Scales - Songwriting]

In this video, I explore and compose a song using the Lydian Augmented Mode and discuss what makes it different from Ionian, Lydian, and other consonant modes that have a major or minor as a tonic. It is the third mode of the Ascending Melodic Minor scale, or often called the Jazz Minor Scale. I use a 2022 American Original 60s Telecaster Thinline to demonstrate In the final version I use: Acoustic Guitar: 2003 Taylor 415 recorded through a Shure SM7B Guitar: 2022 American Original 60s Telecaster Thinline Bass: Fender Bass VI Pawn Shop Synth: Arturia CS-80 V Vocals recorded with a CAD Equitek E-350 with a Kaotica Eyeball Fatboy and a Wunder CM7 Fet I use the Art Pro MPA II and the Art Pro VLA II as outboard gear.
