Mineworkers have come up from underground at Sibanye Gold's mine
More than a thousand mineworkers have come up from underground at Sibanye Gold's Driefontein mine. This, after staging a one and a half day illegal sit in at underground from yesterday. They were protesting against the company's finding that the recent death of a fellow worker was due to natural causes. While the workers say it was a mining accident. The company said it was now waiting for the State pathologist to determine the cause of death. But that report is yet to come out.
