The Federal Police launched an operation against an alleged money laundering scheme investigated for moving more than R$ 10 billion. The action targets Brazilians sanctioned by the United States for alleged links to the PCC (Primeiro Comando da Capital). Among those investigated are Stella Stefanie Nunes Henrique de Oliveira, arrested in the operation, and businessman Victor Henrique de Oliveira Shimada, considered a fugitive. The investigation points to the use of cryptocurrencies, transportation of cash, high-value banking operations, and companies for moving funds. The courts ordered arrests, searches and seizures, as well as the freezing of assets and crypto assets. Victor Shimada is also being investigated in the VaideBet case, which investigates the alleged embezzlement of funds related to the sponsorship contract between Corinthians and the betting company.
