Rediscovering a long lost gold mine and extracting the ore to find gold!!!

I've been searching for an old gold mine since the age of 17 in search of a series of shafts and three adits that have been hiding away in the hills since 1881. I've searched on and off for years for this location without any success. It wasn't until recently that a relative of mine my legendary cousin John Eccles came across the adits himself after a friend of his shared the precise location. The site consists of three adits two of which are still in good order but the third completely collapsed. The original miners of the location were drawn to the area by the alluvial gold discovered in a nearby creek. They later followed the gold to the surrounding hills finding a location at the base of the hill that had nuggety specimens of gold laying on the surface gravel. Soon after shafts and adits were driven into the hill to determine the source of the gold. The source of the gold was located and the area was worked for several years. After finding that the adits do still exist I was more than eager to grab my tools and metal detector and head in for a look myself with goal to find gold. I'll be using traditional methods crushing, panning aswell as more modern techniques including my gold monster 1000 metal detector to try and locate gold for myself.
