George Frideric Handel (1685–1759) was one of the greatest composers of the Baroque era, celebrated for his operas, oratorios, and instrumental music. This recording brings together four of those works: Diana Cacciatrice (HWV 79), Alpestre Monte (HWV 81), Tu fedel? Tu costante? (HWV 171), and Olinto pastore, Tebro fiume, Gloria (HWV 143). Together they reveal music of charm, power, and drama, already displaying the melodic brilliance that would later make Handel one of the greatest composers of the Baroque era.
