The logic and nature of an investment plan is to live with a long-term view, i.e., 8-10 years. This is particularly effective during periods of price decline, which offer an opportunity to buy more shares at a lower price and automatically. If you have the ability to monitor price fluctuations, you probably won't implement an investment plan but will instead manage market ups and downs independently. An investment plan allows you to let time take its course. Ideally, you don't do anything for the entire duration, or you can add more money during a market downturn by doing what I call "drugging the market" in FINANCIAL INTELLIGENCE. When you approach the end of your goal (3 years, for example), the last thing you want is to see your savings depreciate dramatically. In that case, you can: 1. Close early and be content with what you have; 2. Close partially; So, if you don't need to divest, it's not a problem if the markets drop, but rather they offer opportunities to buy at lower prices while waiting for the situation to recover.
