The Puma Nitro Elite 3 was my favorite racing shoe of 2024. It’s the shoe I reached for for the toughest workouts of my last training block, and it’s the shoe I decided to race in for my recent half marathon PB attempt in Houston. There is an old version of this shoe. It was difficult to obtain during its product year, so I’m not sure anyone could even get a new pair now, even if they wanted. However, it’s very different than the current version, so I do not consider it a meaningful alternative.
