Hemodynamics Class 6: Patient Transport and Dialysis
This session provides an overview of the hemodynamic challenges associated with dialysis and patient transport. It explains how alterations in volume status, cardiac function, and vascular tone can contribute to instability in these settings. The course highlights the limitations of conventional vital signs and emphasizes the value of continuous hemodynamic assessment. Particular focus is placed on the role of Electrical Cardiometry in monitoring cardiac output, volume status, and cardiovascular performance, enabling earlier detection of instability and supporting individualized clinical decision-making during dialysis and transport.
