Winter Cab Ride Zagreb - Novska (Croatian Railways) - train drivers view in 4K

In this video you can enjoy the winter cab ride - train drivers view on Croatian Railway between the capital, Zagreb and the town of Novska in 4K/60 frames per second from the train HŽ class 1142 manufactured by the Končar factory (named after Rade Končar), produced between 1984 and 1989. There is a major reconstruction/modernization project planned for the Dugo Selo - Novska line (second track, 160km/h, deviation between Kutina and Novska to cut the distance by 3km), but due to delays of the big project the existing line has deteriorated to 50-70km/h speeds. Also, in the late 2022 a track degradation was detected, so there is an emergency repair program to fix the critical problems, but the speed is limited to 40km/h for a long section of the line. Preparation for the reconstruction project are in progress, with financing planned from EU funding (both from Cohesion funds in 2021-2027 envelope and EU Recovery and Resilience Facility), with works expected to start in next year or two. In preparation for traffic disruptions due to modernization, Zagreb-Sisak-Novska line has been gradually upgraded to take over (part) of the traffic during the reconstruction closures.
