Landscape photography at the Puerto de la Cubilla pass: Fog, telephoto lens, and sunset magic. In this episode, I climb to the Puerto de la Cubilla pass, one of the most spectacular spots in the Asturian-Leonese mountain range. The day begins with thick fog. That kind of fog that envelops everything and seems to tell you that today is not the day for photography. But the mountains always hold surprises. When I least expected it, the fog parted, revealing shapes and light that only a 400mm telephoto lens could capture. Unexpected, almost candid images. I returned another day, this time at sunset. And then, yes: the light gave itself completely. Colors, long shadows, textures that only exist for a few minutes. Different skies for the same composition.
