NICARAGUA - COSTA RICA BORDER RUN | How to renew your Nicaragua tourist visa | Penas Blancas Border

Follow us as we complete our NICARAGUA - COSTA RICA BORDER RUN at the Penas Blancas border crossing. If you want to visit or live in Nicaragua or Costa Rica (as a non-resident) for more than 90 days you need to do a border run to renew your tourist VISA. If your travelling between NICARAGUA & COSTA RICA at the Penas Blancas border watch this video before you go. We do have our Canadian plated vehicle in Nicaragua so in this video we also show you the step if your driving a vehicle, like how to cancel and renew your TIP (Temporary Import Permit). Nicaragua is know for being a very tough border crossing, expect it to be slow and be prepared for some BS and/or some "extra fees". We have done this border crossing several times...there is always something different. We are car camping/overlanding in our ROOF TOP TENT through Central America. We drove all the way from Canada to Nicaragua with our 2 bulldogs Tigger & Penelope to our new home in San Juan del Sur Nicaragua. We loved it so much that we are back on the road!!!
