LEWIS NOBLE - DOVEDALE Part 1 Painting on canvas demonstration
LEWIS NOBLE - DOVEDALE Part 1 Painting on canvas on in location in the Peak District. In Part 2 Lewis will be continuing work on the same painting in the studio. Lewis Noble has lived and worked in Derbyshire since 1996. His focus lies in the physical and emotional impact of the landscape on the senses and the effect this experience has on us. His paintings are not snapshots or photographic frozen moments but through repeated layering and eroding of the painted surface, they contain all of the time it takes to make them. The result is a body of work that speaks to the heart of what it means to be part of the environment. Plein Air Painting March 2018. Working with mixed media using a variety of different paints. I work rapidly to build up the paintings in layers. WEBSITE http://www.lewisnoble.co.uk FACEBOOK PAGE / lewisnobleartist INSTAGRAM @lewisnoble_artist
