Star Wars: Han Solo Movie Fires Directors - Collider Movie Talk

Variety later reported that Lord and Miller were actually fired from the production after months of conflict with producer Kathleen Kennedy. Now, THR is reporting that the shortlist of directors Lucasfilm is looking at to take the reigns of the troubled production include Ron Howard, Joe Johnston and even Lawrence Kasdan himself. Coming from a report in Variety, three-time Oscar winner Daniel Day-Lewis, is retiring from acting. The 60-year-old star best known for playing Lincoln in Steven Spielberg’s Oscar winning biopic, Bill the Butcher in Scorsese’s Gangs of New York and Daniel Plainview in Paul Thomas Anderson’s There Will Be Blood has one final film awaiting release, an untitled drama set in the world of high fashion. That movie is scheduled to hit theaters on December 25th, 2017; reuniting him with director Anderson. BUY OR SELL Wonder Woman is already the best-reviewed film of the DC Extended Universe thus far and soon may become its highest grosser as well. With the film opening to a record $103 million dollars, talk quickly turned to a sequel where it was soon after revealed that director Patty Jenkins hadn’t yet signed on for Part 2. Though Paul Feig is best known for his comedic movies starring some of the most powerful female comedienne’s in the business, thanks to a report from The Tracking Board, we’re going to get something very different from the director for his next project. A creepy new trailer for Annabelle: Creation hit online yesterday. The fourth movie released in the Conjuring universe is a spin-off of the original movie, with two more movies in development to follow – The Nun and The Crooked Man; with both entities introduced in the second Conjuring movie.
